Test Day: Part 2
Once you have passed the written test you will be directed to a waiting area. There you will wait for the rest of the applicants to complete their written test. After we gather all applicants who have passed the written test, our testing coordinator will then turn the applicants over to our physical training coordinator. The physical training coordinator will discuss each exercise to be performed and demonstrate them prior to the start of each portion of the test. The exercises include pushups, sit-ups, 1 ½ mile run, jumping over a five foot wall and dragging a 180lb dummy. The first three exercises listed have varying standards that are based on age and gender. You can find the standards for your age and gender under the Apply Now > Testing portion of our website. The last two exercises are not timed; you only have to complete the exercises to achieve a passing score.
If you are concerned with passing the physical test, contact our office. We can schedule a practice physical training test and determine whether you are physically ready to apply with our department.
