Do you want to improve your chances of being better prepared for the SAPD Training Academy? Come workout with SAPD Recruiters/Detectives who will give you insight into the training so you can better understand the demands of the police academy. You can also expect to connect with fellow applicants and become acclimated to the facility.

Participants will be required to have an ID. (Driver’s License preferred)
Signed Release of Liability Document is also required.

Participants that need to cancel must provide the recruiting office a 24 hour notice by calling 210-207-5050. Failure to show for PT Readiness or not providing 24 hour notice will result in a 30 day suspension from attending PT Readiness.

Please come dressed in appropriate PT attire.

I do hereby acknowledge and agree to the following in connection with the San Antonio Police Department and the PT Readiness Event being held at the San Antonio Police Training Academy (12200 SE Loop 410 Access Rd, San Antonio, TX 78214):

1. I am fully aware that I may be exposed to injury, dangers and hazards which may arise in connection with participation in the PT Readiness Event and knowingly assume the aforementioned risks.

2. I, my heirs, agents, assigns or other legal representatives, do hereby release and forever discharge the City of San Antonio, its agents, employees, successors, assigns or other legal representatives, from any and all claims arising out of or which may arise out of any accident, injury or occurrence resulting from the aforesaid.

3. This release extends to all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action, or suits in law or in equity, of any kind or nature, accruing or to accrue by virtue of the aforesaid participation in the PT Readiness Event or any other circumstance arising out of my participation.

4. I further agree to indemnify the City of San Antonio and its employees, agents, or other legal representatives, individually and collectively, from and against any and all costs, claims, damages, losses, expenses, fees, fines, penalties, proceedings, actions, demands, causes of action, liability and suits of any kind and nature, including but not limited to, personal or bodily injury, death and property damage resulting from my conduct, acts, omissions, or negligence or that of the City of San Antonio and its employees or agents.

5. I understand that I am forbidden from using SAPD property, facilities or equipment without the authorization of and supervision by SAPD personnel.

6. In addition, I hereby grant the San Antonio Police Department permission to the rights of my image, likeness, and sound of voice as recorded on audio, video or still photography without payment or any other consideration.

7. I understand that my image may be edited, copied, exhibited, published or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears.

9. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or recording.

10. By signing this release, I understand this permission signifies that photographic or video recordings of me may be electronically displayed via the internet, through social media, or in the public setting.

11. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed.

12. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material.

I further acknowledge that I am fully aware that if I do not execute this assumption of risk and release of claims, I will not be permitted to participate in the PT Readiness Event.
